Multifaceted music educator, instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter Jaime Ann has up to 17 years of experience in music. An avid lover of the piano, Jaime took to teaching herself how to play at age 10. Beginning with basic formal instruction and training, it wasn’t long before she took off running with her new found understanding of the theoretical elements of music. Songs began pouring out as she formed a deeply profound connection with the piano, singing, and songwriting. Seeing the world through the lens of poetic passion, her collections include a vast range of songs written throughout many stages of her life. Enhancing her dedication to music, Jaime studied the Bachelors of Science in Music emphasis at the University of Colorado Denver, majoring in Music Business and Singer/Songwriter. In addition to gaining experience performing her songs on various stages at festivals and events throughout the country, she’s also spent years branching out with a mission to educate young musicians to light up their own musical sparks from within. The profound effect music has had on Jaime’s life has created a great desire for her to share these gifts with others. Teaching piano, voice lessons, and songwriting has become a daily part of Jaime’s life. Expanding on her teaching, she does both private lessons with students as well as teaches music in schools such as Carere Music Inc. out of Norcross. She also teaches three after-school enrichment daily in a Montessori school environment: One, being a Beginners Music Fundamentals class wherein she incorporates the guitar to teach students about elements such as rhythm, melody, songs, singing, healthy vocal technique, creative expression, various rhythmic instruments, intro to music theory, and sing-alongs that promote enhanced early childhood development and learning. For the second enrichment, she utilizes her 200 hour Root to Rise Yoga Teacher Training by teaching mindfulness to children through daily yoga classes. The third enrichment that she teaches is group piano lessons where they dive deeper into the elements of music theory and beginner piano practice for children. She currently is undergoing study for her CDA, which is a nationally recognized Associates credit for Early Childhood Education and Development. On top of this, Jaime is currently working in the music studio to bring professionally engineered audio production sound quality to various original songs with the help of established multifaceted musicians and producers. Jaime’s enthusiasm for music and songwriting has driven her to align with the Pop Icon Songwriters Course, eager to teach students how to ignite their creativity on their journeys of songwriting!
